The Louisiana AIDS Advocacy Network (LAAN), formed in 2002, is a statewide group of individuals and organizations advocating for HIV resources in Louisiana. LAAN is committed to providing effective leadership in HIV/AIDS advocacy to motivate those affected and living with HIV to influence policy issues with a unified voice. Moving Ahead New Dimensions – Advocacy thru Experience (MANDATE), a project of LAAN, strengthens state and regional advocacy networks focused on HIV, human rights, and other social justice issues by engaging diverse stakeholders. The project pursues meaningful policy improvements to protect and advance the rights, health, and dignity of people living with and at risk for HIV.
